Tips for Departments
1. Use the Student Detail Screen
You may assign major standings on either the summary screen or student detail screen. The summary screen provides a view of the students' major plan and grades.
2. Use a Sticky Note
If the list of students expected to graduate is so long that the column headers disappear when scrolling down you may wish to attach a sticky note to the top of your computer that indicates the header of each column.
3. Use the Filter Bar
You may filter the list of expected graduates into more manageable batches.
Examples of ways you might use the filter bar:
- Type “review” into the filter bar to limit the list of students to those that still require department/program review.
- Type a student’s Dartmouth ID or full name into the filter bar to search for a specific student.
4. Submit Standings in Batches
You may submit standings in small batches rather than all at once. This may help avoid data entry errors when the number of expected graduates is high.
